Superconnectors is an organisation aiming to level the playing field for startup entrepreneurs by providing access to the social capital needed to succeed and grow.
As a startup founder himself, Jan Hein Hoogstad noticed that almost all startup events are focused on raising money and very few are about finding the right people.
This puzzled him, as finding social capital proved to be much harder and more important than financial capital. He teamed up with Stein Fortuin and decided to fix the problem by creating their own event, called Superconnectors and organised the first editions during Rotterdam’s startup festival ‘Upstream’.
Motivated by overwhelming positive feedback, in early 2022 they assigned a dedicated team lead by Alexander Broekman to turn Superconnectors into a scalable global event format like TED, Fuckup nights and Pecha Kucha.
